Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer believes that the additional batsman is a should in South Africa and recommended India go together with 7 batters and 4 bowlers mixture that includes the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Siraj, and Mohammed Shami.
